Our last two articles on Lifestyle vacationing were written based on the assumption that you planned a vacation around Swinging activities. While that is a certainly a great way to plan a getaway, the fact remains, most of the time when a couple goes on vacation it is not necessarily with Swinging as the focal point. We love to travel to California wine country and to the Caribbean among other places and typically not with a group of swingers. So what does the average lifestyle couple do when they are out of their normal stomping grounds and decide they would like to get a little wild? It can actually be pretty difficult to set up a last minute rendezvous in a strange city. While most swinger websites have some sort of “Booty Call” feature which allow people looking for last minute hook ups to connect, there isn’t always a compatible couple available at your beck and call. One of the byproducts of being in the Lifestyle is you tend to look at “normal” outings in a different context. I know that when Mrs. Toto and I are traveling, whether a vacation or just a weekend getaway, we tend to start sizing up the couples we encounter on our trips as if they were potential swinger friends. This is probably because most of the people we socialize with in our day to day activities are in the Lifestyle. When 90% of your friendship base are swingers, it sometimes slips your mind that that is not the norm. It is not that we can’t separate the two, it is just that we don’t always want too…

A couple of months ago we were looking at the website metrics, something we seldom do, and noticed that quite a few of the visitors to TheSwingScene had reached the site using the search term “Swinger Stories”. We found this odd since we have never published what I would consider to be “swinger stories”. We did find where we had used the tag on a couple of news releases we posted. While the primary focus of the site has always been to provide real information for couples interested in the Lifestyle, had we forgotten that the Lifestyle is in fact an erotic undertaking? It is fine to talk about the nuts and bolts of how to be a swinger, but what about the erotic side? What about the fun part?
